"The more you sweat in practice,

the less you bleed in battle."

Back again for another good workout and stinky clothes afterwards.

"The secret is to work less as individuals and more as a team. As a coach, I play not my eleven best, but my best eleven." - Knute Rockne (American football player-coach)

With the ever-present need to play as a team, the top on Coach Jason's list: the players lined up in two columns and...

...passed!

The figure to shoot (haha) for was 200. Once you're done with that, do another 200. Accurate, fast and look before you pass!

Then snakes, and a new drill more to the technical side of teamplay:
1. Two players run past each other.
2. 45-degree pass.
3. Shot.

Protractors, anyone?

After which, 4-on-5 (girls and juniors defending against the guys), a variant of the 2-on-1s usually done. Two teams of guys (the Khanz + Indy, and The Classic Team), two teams of girls & juniors (plus the coach himself).

It allowed the guys room to build up their teamplay, fluidity and expression on court. While the girls & juniors could learn by playing against those better than them.

And finally, the moment we've all been waiting for.
(do take a good look at each of the photos, they were carefully photographed, handpicked and painstakingly uploaded. lol)

The first face-off.

Cool-headed controlling by Deswyn while Per Yue goes in for the snatch.

Free-hit: spot the ball!

Gary attempting to penetrate through.

Beverly (i might've paraphrased a li'l, but roughly): Look at James' face! His expression!

I really like how the focus turned out here.

Indy single-handedly (literally and figuratively) charging by the wall.

Focus also not bad. But blur-ity is clarity of movement :)

The girls and juniors went 3-on-3 and ran with all the energy they could muster (6 outfield makes for a larger-than-life court).

And, cheers for keeper Nicholas Choong who definitely improved his movement, shielding the most part of the goal throughout the entire training. He only called it a day once the cramps started coming, after which Alex sub-ed in.

"I figure practice puts brains into your muscles." - Sam Snead (won 82 PGA Tour events), on golf.

Well then it probably applies to floorball too =)
